To effectively prevent SPAM while automatically approving comments:
- go to Settings -> Discussion and check "Comment must be manually approved"
- optionally install and activate Akismet (comments flagged as SPAM will never get auto approved)
- configure your auto approval filters in "Commenters", "Users" and "Roles"

AAC has been tested and works well with:
- wpDiscuz comment extension plugin
- Akismet anti-spam plugin
Commenters auto approval setup:
- Type at least the email address of each commenter that you want to auto approve
- For a more reliable filter add the name and/or the url separated by a comma
- Add only one commenter per line, follow the example below
