The goal of the Assignment Desk is to empower the community to participate in the editorial process and guide them along the way.
Community members can submit story pitches, vote on them, and volunteer for them. Editors can moderate pitches and assign them to staff or interested community journalists.

== Installation ==

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.

The Assignment Desk currently only works with the following plugins installed. We're working on getting it to without those plugins installed but for now you'll need them.

1. Then go ahead and unzip the assignment-desk.tar.gz into your plugins directory.
1. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress
