So the plugin is simply looking at all the categories and pages, then check if there are images in all the category’s posts (and pages) and, if there are, use the [ gallery ] shortcode. I use it with 2 other plugins: [cleaner-gallery][cleaner syntax] that is just a clean version of the wordpress gallery, works exactly the same way but with cleaner XHTML. And [light-box-2][lightbox syntax] that does the brilliant lightbox effect/system. All-in-One-Gallery plugin work with the new [ gallery ] shortcode and therefor only work with recent version of wordpress ( 2.6, maybe 2.5 and probally future released ). Also, I created this plugin for Anna Chocola and myself, so I can’t guaranty that it will work properly. But the plugin is so simple that it should work for everyone. You can try it on my website by clicking Image Gallery in the sidebar or on Anna Chocola’s website by also clicking on Image Gallery in the sidebar. Download all-in-one-gallery.zip 2. Unzip and Upload the folder to wp-content/plugins/ 3. Activate in the plugins tab in your dashboard 4. Create a page that will be used for the gallery 5. Set your settings under Settings -> All in One Gallery The plugin is pretty simple, there are only 3 options that you can find under Settings -> All in One Gallery: 1. Style and Place the Gallery : * Select the page where you want the gallery to be displayed. Note that you have to create a page to be use for the gallery. * Select your color style for the menu, default is blue. * Select how many columns in gallery (Just changing the attribute of the [ gallery ] shortcode.), default is 4. 2. Exlude categories or Pages: * In case you have some texts only categories or what ever is the reason why you don't want some categories to be in the gallery. 3. Welcome message: * Switch welcome message ON and OFF * If ON, the gallery will display a default message that you can alter. * If OFF, select the category's gallery to be displayed == Frequently Asked Questions == This plugin is young, so far no questions. But please tell me if something isn't working or if you have suggestions. The [ gallery ] shortcode only works with images you have uploaded with wordpress version 2.6 ( maybe 2.5 ). So if the gallery doesn't display images from older posts the problem seems to come from wordpress. Adding your Own Style: 1. Copy one of the folder in the themes folder ( plugins->all-in-one-gallery->themes ) 2. Rename the folder and rename the css file inside with exactly the same name. ex: If the folder name is 'my-design-is-better', the css file name has to be 'my-design-is-better.css' 3. Edit the css file like you want to. 4. Upload your folder on your website in plugins->all-in-one-gallery->themes 5. Go to settings->All in One Gallery in your Dashboard and select your design from the the dropdown menu. note: the style in the themes folder only affect the 'all in one gallery' menu, the [gallery] design is up to your website Theme. == Screenshots == 1.
