5. Posted your post Portfolio Item custom post with category and follow the blow shortcode for viewing portfolio.

Yes you can add link with your portfolio. When you add portpolio item there have custom fild oftion you put <pre>portfolio_link</pre> in Neme box and put your link with out <pre>http:// and https://</pre> in Value box . You can see more from  Screenshots tab.
